The GT3HD sensor is used to monitor temperature, humidity and dew point in critical areas.It includes a supplementary input to daisy chain additional sensors. Each sensor also includes dual inputs for the included temperature probes, one with a 3 ft (.9m) cable and the other with a 6 ft (1.8m)cable. The cables allow monitoring of the top, middle and bottom of a rack or cabinet.
- Mount the plastic enclosure anywhere in the data center with screws, magnets, zip ties or Velcro tape.
- Plug one end of the uplink cable into the GT3HD uplink port (RJ12/ ) and plug the other end into the sensor port (RJ12/ ) of the Geist environmental monitoring device or rack PDU.
- Connect the two included temperature probe and cable assemblies (SRTs) to the RJ12 ports
- Place the temperature probes in the critical areas.
